Tu Casa, Inc. is hiring a Bilingual Victim Advocate. This is a full-time position with a starting salary of $36,000 with the possibility of being more depending on experience and education. We are asking for someone who is willing to commit at least two years or more to the position as it is important to gain the trust of the migrant and Spanish speaking community.

This position offers the opportunity to develop and coordinate services in Spanish and English throughout the entire San Luis Valley. This position will give you an opportunity to work with other agencies who serve the Spanish speaking and immigrant communities.

This position requires a BA in a sociology, psychology or related field or a highschool diploma with at least 3 years related experience (advocacy to those who have experienced traumatic events or abuse). The Bilingual Victims Advocate will help to develop materials in Spanish, including brochures, signs, and social media posts for the organization as requested. There will be a written and oral test to determine if the candidate is truly proficient in the Spanish language. Beyond the above requirements, we are looking for someone who understands the nuances of working with individuals in the Spanish Speaking and Latino Migrant Community of the San Luis Valley. This position offers an opportunity to work with professionals from a variety of fields (law enforcement, social services, medical professionals, other advocacy systems, etc.) in a culturally sensitive manner, while providing vital advocacy support to people who have experienced domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, and stalking.
