Financial Administrator
Organizational Information:
Tu Casa, Inc. is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization providing comprehensive services to people who have experienced domestic violence and sexual assault and their families since 1979.
Job Description:
The Financial Administrator will provide accounting/bookkeeping services to the entire organization. This position will require the employee to work 2 to 3 days a week in office.
Reports to:
Executive Director
Salary: Compensation will start at $18.00/hr. and commensurate with experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Position will require the employee to:
- · Prepare payrolls, payroll tax returns, and payroll tax deposits including W-2s and Forms 1099.
- · Perform accounts payable functions and pay bills.
- · Record Deposits each month.
- · Reconcile checking accounts with bank statements each month.
- · Reconcile other assets and liabilities each month.
- · Record depreciation and other adjusting journal entries as needed.
- · Allocate income and expenses by class to track for grant and other purposes.
- · Assist in compiling information for grant reimbursement requests as needed.
- · Prepare monthly financial reports for the board of directors monthly meeting.
- · Assist with tracking fundraising financial transactions.
This position will report directly to the executive director and will work closely with executive director and program directors as needed.
Qualifications:
- Familiarity with non-profit accounting/bookkeeping.
- Experience working with grants.
- Ability to work with QuickBooks Online.
- Pass a criminal history background check.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently or with a team.
- Organized, detailed oriented, and flexible,
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects.
- Proficient computer skills.
